Abstract
Semantic dementia shows asymmetric atrophy of the anterior temporal cortex and present loosing semantic knowledge. We report 2 cases of semantic dementia with subdural hematoma without a history of trauma, vascular malformation, coagulopathy or medical anticoagulation, even headache. As the brain shrinks, the subdural space enlarges, making bridging veins more vulnerable to tears. Focal brain atrophy is associated with not only the first clinical manifestation of degenerative dementia but also a cause of subdural hematoma or the site of hemorrhage.
